Operation Service Representative
JOB SUMMARY
The Operation Service Representative supports the company's customers and departments by performing multifaceted financial tasks related to invoicing, payments, and overall accounting and underwriting support.
SPECIFIC Duties include:
- Fostering strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of customer retention and product loyalty
- Processing all incoming premium, audit, and outstanding balance payments in compliance with MBG's policies, procedures, and regulations to support daily account balancing and closing accuracy
- Ensuring all billing transactions are processed appropriately and reflected in customers' billing statements and balances
- Communicating and collaborating with internal departments to ensure MBG's billing system provides accurate payment information
- Positively and efficiently answering billing and customer service inquiries from external and internal customers
- Working with the IT Department when there is a production problem, work request, or need to need to collaborate for services testing and deployment
- Providing support to underwriting departments including processing non-premium bearing endorsements, company requests, and orders with vendors in accordance with filed rating and underwriting guidelines, state laws, and regulations, where applicable
- Documenting current procedures and recommending improvements/changes as warranted to increase efficiency
- Cross training and providing back-up support to various functions within the department
- Performing other miscellaneous duties as directed or assigned
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:
Education Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a general equivalency or high school diploma; associate degree preferred
Skills / Competencies:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding to banking/accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines as related to property and casualty insurance
- Demonstrated ability and experience with financial, banking, and accounting systems, programs, platforms, and/or reports to enhance customer service
- Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability in dealing with a variety of people; proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient computer knowledge
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of MBG's billing system to produce and analyze daily/monthly billing transactions and reports generated from inquiries
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills; proficient math skills
- General knowledge of insurance
