Are winter storms common in your area? If so, you need to prepare to keep you and your family safe during and after the storm. Protecting your house and creating a supply kit for your home might be obvious, but don’t forget to make an emergency supply kit for your auto. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA,
www.fema.gov), these are a few items that should be in your auto emergency supply kit (in no particular order):
- Cell phone charger
- First aid kit
- Jumper cables
- Water and snacks
- Flashlight
- Tow rope
- Boots, gloves, and extra warm clothes
- Blanket
- Shovel, ice scraper, and snow brush
- Bag of sand or cat litter
- Tire chains
