Kimberly Brown retires after 39 years with Mutual Benefit Group
Kimberly Brown of Orbisonia retired from her position as Operation Service Coordinator with Mutual Benefit Group on August 1st after 39 years of service.
Kim joined the company in 1985 as a Personal Lines File Clerk. She was promoted through the years to positions of increasing responsibility and ultimately to the position of Operation Service Coordinator in April of 2020.
Kim is a graduate of Mount Union Area High School. During her career at Mutual Benefit, she earned three insurance industry designations, the Certificate in General Insurance in 2008, the Associate in Insurance Services in 2008 and the Associate in General Insurance in 2010.
Kim’s plans for retirement are to enjoy life with her husband Jeffery. She is looking forward to having time to enjoy her many hobbies which include photography, attending sporting events, sewing/embroidery and baking.
Her father started the Aughwick Creek Antique Tractor Show. After he passed away in 2009 Kim has kept it going in his memory.
“I have made many friends both agents and co-workers throughout my career at Mutual Benefit Group,” says Kim. “The best part of the memories I have was making them with each one of you.”
When asked for words of wisdom to leave for her coworkers, Kim said, “Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out just take another shot.”
